Ryan G. Bader, age 29, passed away suddenly and accidentally Saturday afternoon at his home in Little Suamico while performing outdoor home maintenance. Ryan was born April 26th, 1980, in the Town of Red River, to Mark G. and Cheryl Bader. He graduated with honors from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 1998, and attended the University of Wisconsin Green Bay prior to his full time employment at Proctor & Gamble in 2000, where he continued to work until his untimely passing. Ryan loved spending time with his friends, hunting, snowmobiling, and especially riding his Harley. Ryan is an inspiration to all who knew him. Despite being diagnosed with Type I diabetes at age 6, Ryan was very active and successful in his school years, and later, as an adult, in his own personal life. As a student, Ryan participated in many activities through camps for children with diabetes. He developed and maintained wonderful friendships. He was an honor roll student throughout his high school years. Ryan continued his education; then began working full time at Proctor and Gamble, bought a beautiful home in Little Suamico, worked very hard at maintaining and upgrading it, and had a wonderful relationship with his special and dear friend Marci Beck, whom he was intending to make a lifetime commitment with—the plan was to give her an engagement ring in the near future. Ryan was a very courageous young man. He lived a full, independent, successful life while living with diabetes. And his courage led to yet another major, life altering decision for him. In Spring of 2008, he decided to list himself at Madison University Hospital for a pancreas transplant, which he received a few months later, in June. After successfully receiving a pancreas transplant and overcoming the complications resulting from that surgery, Ryan was enjoying his new, diabetic free, life. Ryan is survived by his special friend Marci Beck and her four children Scott, Sierra, Sydni, and Sawyer, Green Bay; his parents Mark G. and Cheryl Bader, Duvall; one sister Nicole Bader (special friend Jay Morth), Duvall; one brother, Eric Bader (special friend Abby Safranski), Madison; maternal grandparents Joseph and Lorraine Borley, Dyckesville.
